Blue Logic has been awarded a contract by Aker Solutions regarding delivery of 10 off permanent installed Gearboxes.
The Gearbox is designed according to API 17H / ISO13628-8 Class 7 and has an output range from1800Nm to 16kNm based on input from a standard Class 4 Torque Tool.
Blue Logic has a long track record within subsea Gearboxes for intervention tasks, and this latest family-member is a direct development of the existing tools.
As these Gearboxes are subject to permanent subsea service, a full qualification test program shall be performed to demonstrate full compliance with all technical and operational requirements.
Due to the compact size and low weight, the Gearbox is easy to install and recover by any standard ROV. All seawater-exposed components fabricated in corrosion resistant materials such as Super Duplex, Inconel and PEHD.
