Product Engineer
Blue Logic is seeking a Product Engineer who will play a key role in the productization and standardization of our product portfolio, ensuring that the products can be sold and delivered repeatably without special adaptations for each customer. The role involves managing and evaluating technical design aspects within a product lifecycle context. The position reports to the CTO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and execute productization and industrialization activities for the Blue Logic product portfolio, including continuous improvement initiatives
- Actively contribute to productization and industrialization projects, including technical execution as well as maintaining and further developing the design and technical documentation
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, assembly, testing, and product quality in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure that design, verification, validation, and technical documentation are carried out in accordance with product roadmaps, commercial input, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements
- Propose and implement technical and manufacturing improvements based on feedback from operations, production, suppliers, and customers
- Coordinate technical contributors in projects and ensure clear understanding of technical scope, customer requirements, and regulatory requirements
- Comply with HSEQ requirements and contribute to the continuous improvement of Blue Logic’s internal processes
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience in product design and development, preferably within subsea equipment
- Experience with product design processes and engineering tools, such as Autodesk Inventor
- Experience with review and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies and a solid understanding of design for manufacturing
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations within the subsea industry
- Experience in optimizing production processes, tolerances, and manufacturing methods, including machining, both internally and with suppliers
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, contribute to cross-functional teams, and support the development of other engineers
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
